Adult Photos Private Photo Vault Recovery: Recover Hidden Photos
Private Photo Vault (by Systematix Infotech) is one of the most widely used photo hiding apps on iOS and Android. When adult photos stored in Private Photo Vault are lost — through deletion, app issues, or device problems — several recovery paths exist before you need to resort to external tools.
Part 1. Understanding Private Photo Vault's Data Architecture
Private Photo Vault stores images in an encrypted container on your device. On iOS, the app data is included in iTunes and iCloud device backups (unless you specifically exclude it). On Android, the storage location varies by version. The app offers optional passcode hints and email-based account recovery to reduce permanent lockout risk.
| Feature | iOS Version | Android Version |
|---|---|---|
| Recently Deleted folder | Yes (30 days) | Yes (30 days) |
| Passcode hint | Yes | Yes |
| Email account recovery | Yes (with account) | Yes (with account) |
| iCloud backup inclusion | Yes (device backup) | N/A |
| Cloud sync for photos | Premium feature | Premium feature |
Part 2. Use the Recently Deleted Folder
Open Private Photo Vault and navigate to the Albums tab. Scroll down to find Recently Deleted — this folder holds photos for 30 days after deletion. Tap any photo and select Restore to move it back to your main album.
💡 Tip: The Recently Deleted folder in Private Photo Vault is only visible after you are successfully logged in. If you cannot log in, address the PIN/password issue in Part 3 first, then check this folder.
⚠️ Warning: If you tap Delete All inside the Recently Deleted folder, all photos are permanently removed with no app-level recovery option remaining. Do not tap this button under any circumstances while trying to recover images.
If the photo was deleted more than 30 days ago or the Recently Deleted folder was cleared, move to device-level recovery in Part 5.
Part 3. Reset Your PIN or Password
Private Photo Vault offers several methods to recover lost access credentials.
Passcode Hint: If you set a hint during setup, it appears on the lock screen — tap Forgot Passcode? to see it.
Email Recovery: If you linked the app to an email account, tap Forgot Passcode? and request an email reset. A recovery link is sent within minutes.
Secret Question: Some versions allow you to set a secret question during setup as an alternative recovery method.
🗣️ r/iosapps user: "Private Photo Vault sent me a recovery email within 2 minutes. Went to my email, clicked the link, set a new PIN, and all my photos were right there. The email registration during setup is a lifesaver."
If none of these options were set up and you are locked out, contact Private Photo Vault Support through their website. Support may be able to verify identity via purchase records and assist with recovery on a case-by-case basis.
Part 4. Restore from iPhone Backup
If you use iTunes or iCloud device backups on iPhone, Private Photo Vault data — including your hidden photos — may be included in those backups. Restoring from a backup replaces your current device data with the backup state, so only do this if the backup predates the photo loss.
| Backup Type | Contains App Data? | How to Restore |
|---|---|---|
| iCloud device backup | Yes | Settings → General → Transfer/Reset → Restore from iCloud Backup |
| iTunes/Finder local backup | Yes | Connect to Mac/PC → Finder/iTunes → Restore Backup |
| iCloud Photos (separate) | Only if photos were in iCloud Photos before import | iCloud.com → Photos |
💡 Tip: Before restoring a device backup, confirm the backup date in iCloud or iTunes. The backup must be from before the date you lost the photos — restoring a backup from after the loss will not help.
Part 5. Recover After App Deletion or Device Reset
If you deleted Private Photo Vault from your device, all locally stored private photos are removed with it. The only in-app recovery option at this point is cloud sync if you had a Premium account with cloud backup enabled — reinstall the app, log in, and your photos will sync back.
Without cloud backup, Ritridata is the fallback option for finding image files that existed in device storage before they were imported into the vault.
🗣️ r/iphone user: "Deleted Private Photo Vault by accident when clearing apps. No cloud sync. Ritridata scanned my phone backup and recovered about 60% of the photos I had stored. The ones it missed were probably overwritten by new data."
Recovery steps with Ritridata:
- For Android: connect device via USB with USB Debugging enabled and launch Ritridata.
- For iPhone: scan via a local iTunes backup (connect iPhone to computer → create backup → scan backup with Ritridata).
- Select the device storage or backup file as the scan target.
- Run Deep Scan and filter by image file type.
- Preview and restore to your computer's storage.
Part 6. Ritridata Recommendation
Ritridata is the recommended external tool when Private Photo Vault's built-in recovery options — Recently Deleted, email reset, and device backup restore — have all been exhausted.
Step 1 — Connect your device (Android USB or iPhone backup) and select it in Ritridata.

FAQ
Q1: Does Private Photo Vault include a cloud backup option? Yes, but only with a Private Photo Vault Premium subscription. Free users store photos locally only.
Q2: I set up Private Photo Vault without email registration. Can I still recover my PIN? Options are limited without email registration. Try the passcode hint if you set one, then contact Private Photo Vault Support. Without either, your options are limited to device-level recovery with Ritridata.
Q3: My Private Photo Vault app is crashing constantly and I cannot access photos. What should I do? Do not uninstall the app. Try clearing the app cache (Android: Settings → Apps → Private Photo Vault → Clear Cache), then relaunch. If crashing persists, contact Private Photo Vault Support before uninstalling.
Q4: How long are deleted photos kept in the Recently Deleted folder? Photos remain in Recently Deleted for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Q5: Can Ritridata recover photos that were encrypted by Private Photo Vault? Ritridata can locate unencrypted image files in device storage — typically the originals before they were moved into the vault. The encrypted vault container itself cannot be accessed without the correct PIN.
Q6: Will restoring an iCloud backup delete my current app data? Yes. Restoring from iCloud or iTunes backup replaces all current device data with the backup state. Back up your current device state first if you need to preserve anything from the current setup.
Q7: What if I no longer have the email account I registered with Private Photo Vault? Contact Private Photo Vault Support with your original Apple ID or Google account details and any purchase records. They may be able to verify your identity through alternative means.
Q8: Is there a way to move Private Photo Vault photos to a different vault app safely? Yes. Use Private Photo Vault's Export function to save photos to your device gallery first, then import into the new app. Never delete the old vault until you confirm the new one contains all the photos.
